How did you start your business and what do you want to achieve with your company?

Sonair was founded in October 2022 by serial entrepreneur Knut Sandven (CEO) and five engineers to develop cutting-edge object detection and ranging systems for autonomous robots. Sonair’s patented core technology, Acoustic Detection and Ranging (ADAR), is poised to replace traditional sensors like Lidar, offering superior 3D imaging and highly precise object detection with safety-certified reliability.
