How did you start your business and what do you want to achieve with your company?
I founded Hypersphere Consulting in February 2024 to provide bespoke software solutions for machine vision applications tailored to the customer’s needs. My goal is to make machine vision available and easily accessible to everyone. I can see the benefits of data analysis services on top of the vision system, which can help my customers address issues like downtime, product failure, and equipment degradation. This allows businesses to make better decisions and improve ROI.

To which question will your product be the answer?
I often assist existing teams (e.g., integrators and end-users) in meeting their needs for additional development resources during their projects. I am happy to focus on projects that larger integration companies may overlook due to size, time constraints, or internal policies. Understanding the requirements is important for providing a thorough specification and achieving good results. If there is a product with high variability or if you are unsure what is achievable and reasonable, I can provide a feasibility study/consulting to narrow down which approaches will lead to the best results. Hypersphere offers the following services: general support, feasibility studies, custom software development, training, consultancy, and analytics for vision applications. Being independent allows me to choose the best tools for each project.
What makes your company unique?
As a machine vision expert with experience in support and algorithm development, I run a one-person company, collaborating with contractors and integrators when needed. I can combine skills from the machine vision sector, data science and traditional software development. My introduction to machine vision started at the University of Applied Science in Munich. After my placement year at Stemmer Imaging, I wrote my bachelor’s thesis (print inspection) and master’s thesis (image fusion) with them. In 2020, I took a detour into traditional software development and data science. I realised that data science can offer additional functionality to a traditional vision system.
