How did you start your business and what do you want to achieve with your company?

Many European customers are not unwilling to consider Chinese products. Their real concern is whether they have enough information, trust, and validation before making a purchasing decision. Over the past years, as the Overseas Sales Director for Chinese machine vision brands, I have had extensive interactions with customers, distributors, and machine builders across Europe, Asia, and other international markets. Gradually, I realized that the challenges of cross-border procurement go far beyond product specifications or pricing. Before purchasing, customers worry about whether a supplier is reliable and whether the product truly fits their application. After purchasing, they worry about product quality, delivery schedules, communication efficiency, and after-sales support. This is why I created Ovis, to serve as a bridge. On one side, Ovis connects overseas customers with China’s machine vision supply chain. On the other, it helps international customers reduce decision-making risks. Through factory visits, brand and product showcases, application observations, pre-shipment validation, and consulting-style support, we aim to provide overseas customers with more than just catalogs and price lists. The goal of Ovis is not simply to promote Chinese manufacturing. It is to make it easier for global customers to discover trustworthy Chinese brands and to make cross-border machine vision sourcing more reliable.

To which question will your product be the answer?

Ovis aims to answer one key question: How can overseas customers make more reliable decisions when sourcing machine vision products from China while minimizing risk? In the machine vision industry, purchasing decisions are not simply about comparing specifications or prices. Customers need to know: Is this supplier reliable? Is the product truly suitable for the application? Does the factory have stable delivery capabilities? If product quality needs to be verified before shipment, is there someone in China who can perform a final validation according to their standards? We provide support in three ways: first, by helping overseas customers better understand Chinese brands and products through content creation and on-site factory visits; second, by assisting customers in validating products according to their own standards and procedures before goods leave China; and third, by offering market, technical, and business support for high-entry-barrier industries and complex applications.

What makes your company unique?

What makes Ovis unique is that we do not simply promote products from the supplier’s perspective, nor do we only represent the customer’s demands. Instead, we position ourselves as an independent observer and collaborator between both sides. We do more than introduce products: we help both sides build a clearer, more transparent, and more trustworthy collaboration process. When needed, we can also assist customers by carrying out pre-shipment product validation in China. This gives Ovis three distinct roles: an industry observer, a trust facilitator, and a decision risk manager. I believe that the future of international sourcing is not simply about finding lower-cost products, but about finding reliable ways to collaborate.
