With the Medabsy Light Version, you can access our powerful platform directly through your browser. All you need is a CAD file, that is edited in a suitable way, of the part you want to measure. The process is simple:

1. Upload your CAD model and add the material.

2. Select lights from our extensive database and insert them into the 3D scene.

3. Choose a camera with a lens from our database and insert it into the scene.

4. Receive a preview of the inspec- tion image with just one click,

allowing you to determine the optimal position of the optical components.

More than 200 optical components from top manufacturers, including Kowa, B&R and Büchner Lichtssysteme, are included in our database. In addition, 24 lights from TPL Vision will be available by mid-October. The Medabsy Light Version is an invaluable tool for application engineers and technicians who want to simulate an inspection system before testing it in a vision lab. For only 150 Euro per user per month, you can use it 24/7. All you need is a laptop, an internet connection, and a 3D Model file of the product.

It’s also an excellent sales tool for salespeople working for manufactur-ers of optical components or inspection systems. Show potential customers how they can solve their machine vision tasks in minutes with a simulation, particularly useful in the early stages of a project.

To expand our database, we offer the option of uploading your optical components, enabling system integrators and large manufacturing companies to test them. This passive parallel distribution method ensures that if engineers are interested in your components, they will receive your contact details and order the parts directly from your sales person, anywhere in the world. And this is just the beginning! Medabsy is continuously devel-oping the platform and will soon release the Pro version, which will integrate Fraunhofer ITWM’s IP into the platform. This exciting upgrade will allow users to create highly realistic synthetic images of metal parts, filling the training data gap for Vision AI.
