Vision for flexible parts feeding
Smartsights is a vision solution for flexible parts feeding systems and comprises a powerful visual detection software, installed on an IPC, as well as an optimally configured vision kit. The basic configuration is made of one camera mounted above one Asycube (a 3-axis vibration platform). Thanks to the control unit, only one communication channel needs to be established with the robot controller/PLC.
It autonomously controls the part movements, refills parts from the hopper, controls the lighting, initiates the image acquisition, and locates parts on the platform. The system can be programmed to fit any part from <0.1-150mm.
