The camera adopts a Sony back illuminated rolling shutter CMOS sensor to provide image in high dynamic range and low noise. The full resolution is up to 28416×21280 Pixel, the maximum framerate 1.5fps. The camera has a 16-bit ADC Output and supports 16-bit ADC output, which makes the image greyscale and detail more delicate.
Pixel-by-pixel Correction Algorithm
In traditional image correction algorithms, the commonly used method is to perform the correction based on a block of pixels. However, by using this method, the defective pixels in the image might be covered up and causing a block boundary. At the 604MP area scan camera the pixel-by-pixel correction algorithm is embedded for a high accuracy and high uniformity image. The hardware and structure of the camera is optimized for low power consumption. It is also equipped with a fan for cooling. Compared with the a 151MP area scan camera, the 604MP camera is able capture the image in the same field of view but achieving four times the accuracy, which results in a four times higher inspection accuracy. For FPD inspection, the camera can bring it to the next inspection level by using only one single 604MP camera which can perform the inspection of 8K screen in one single shot. The area scan cameras also can be used in electronic semiconductor and panel inspection industry.
