How did you start your business and what do you want to achieve with your company?

I started developing GigE Vision implementations even before the first release of the standard, and over the past two decades my IP cores have found their way into cameras worldwide. In 2025, I founded Imavix Engineering to bring this experience to a new generation of interfaces. Our goal is to make GigE Vision 3.0 with RoCEv2 accessible to every camera maker, even on low-power FPGAs, so they can move to higher data rates without building complex protocol stacks themselves.

To which question will your product be the answer?

How do I stream high-speed image data from a camera to a PC reliably, with low latency and almost no CPU load, using standard Ethernet and standard vision software? Our GigE Vision 3.0 IP core implements the RoCEv2/RDMA transport directly in FPGA hardware, so images land straight in host memory. Being fully standards-compliant, it works out of the box with any GigE Vision 3.0 and GenICam-compliant host software. As Ethernet speeds grow, the same architecture carries over to faster links without redesigning the host side.

What makes your company unique?

Two decades of GigE Vision implementations and active involvement in shaping the GigE Vision and GenICam standards form our technical foundation. Customers work directly with the engineers who developed the IP, from first integration through their product’s entire lifecycle. This makes tailoring a core to a specific application a straightforward step rather than a lengthy project. Our products scale with customers‘ growing requirements, whether higher bandwidth, broader licensing, new features or new technologies.
